After I sketched up a rough storyboard, our PR/Social Media Coordinator filmed me crushing the Amendment Lager can. It wasn't until I opened up the footage in After Effects that I found out that the background we filmed over was too dark for the type. We could have reshot, but I thought that the metal shed texture of the background fit well with the Amendment Lager sub-brand, so I learned how to use the rotobrush, and made the background lighter.

Then, we wanted beer to spurt out of the can. So we filmed a can that was shaken up being cracked open. Then, I rotobrushed those drops of liquid and pasted them onto the above ad.

 

Finishing touches were adding the can crushing sound, the "eagle" screech (it's actually a red tailed hawk), and patriotic music.
